### It’s been just over a year since Platform.sh launched its service in Australia, and we thought it was time to take a step back and reflect.

We’re excited to share that the product we’re delivering today meets our quality bar. But the past year has been a challenge for us—and for those who’ve entrusted us with their pixels. The good news? We’ve not only ramped up service delivery, but we have fantastic news about pricing, plan sizes, and a range of other cool stuff.

Delivering online services is a zero-sum game: it doesn’t really matter how many awesome features the product has if it doesn’t have the stability you planned. Unfortunately, that’s where we were 2017. We rolled out some awesome, new tech in Australia that just wasn’t ready for primetime; as a result, if you were a Platform.sh client before April, things were a bit bumpy.

### **Better uptime**

We’re happy to share that, through the concerted efforts of our engineering and operations teams, our new tech has paid dividends for Australian clients, with uptime in the public region exceeding 99.9%. Even better, clients are now protected by auto-rebalancing and auto-recovery. We now routinely resize, update, and make changes to hosts in that region—all behind the scenes.

### **Better support**

We recognize that, sometimes, things can go awry. We’ve ramped up our APAC Support team to better support you. Overall, the Platform.sh global support team will be more than 40 people strong by the end of 2018, with a team entirely dedicated to Asia-Pacific countries. By this time next year, we expect to grow the team by 50%.

### **Better pricing**

Beginning immediately, Platform.sh will reduce the price of its Professional hosting in Australia by approximately 25% to bring it into line with our other regions. This will apply to all customers and will be reflected in your November 2018 invoice.

### **Better plan sizes**

We’ve also recently introduced some new plan sizes, allowing larger projects to run on our Professional regions. These are a really good fit for regional businesses, programs for government, not-for-profits, and education.

### **Better Partner Programs, government services, TAM services**

There are many other new things coming your way:

* New Partner Program for agencies, including direct access to pre-sales and bid management, and access to client productivity metrics
* Better offers and discounts for not-for-profits and education providers
* A special offer for freelancers
