# Transfer an organization to a different billing profile

> Move an organization to a different billing profile by contacting Support.

Transferring the billing ownership of an organization to a different billing profile currently requires manual intervention. There is no self-serve flow for these operations.

## Prerequisites

* Familiarize yourself with the [billing account](/docs/glossary#billing-account) and [billing profile](/docs/glossary#billing-profile) concepts.
* A billing account and at least one billing profile must exist. If you have not set these up, see [Set up a billing account and billing profile](/docs/administration/billing/bp-setup).

## Request a transfer

To transfer an organization to a billing profile, [contact Support](/docs/core-concepts/get-support) with the following information:

* The name or ID of the organization to transfer.
* The destination billing profile.
* The reason for the transfer.

Support will process the transfer and confirm when it is complete.
