# Billing FAQ

> Answers to common questions and known issues in the billing system.

## I can't create a second billing account

Each email address can only be associated with one billing account. Creating a second billing account with the same email is not permitted. If you need multiple billing accounts, use a different email address for each.

## My invoice is showing the wrong total, missing tax, or missing information

For questions about your invoice, contact the Upsun Finance team using the email address listed on your invoice.

## What happens if a payment fails on my billing profile?

If a payment fails, your billing profile enters a dunning state. The following states are surfaced in the Console:

| State       | Description                                                                           |
| ----------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Overdue     | A payment attempt failed. Retry the payment or update your payment method to resolve. |
| Has dispute | A charge has been disputed. Contact support to resolve the dispute.                   |

When your profile is in a dunning state, the **Retry payment** and **Update payment method** actions appear alongside your payment method on the billing profile page.

Dunning restrictions apply at the project level, based on the payment status of each project's billing profile. Projects linked to a healthy billing profile are never affected, even if other projects in the same organization are in a dunning state.

While a billing profile is in a dunning state, projects linked to it can't:

* Be created under that billing profile.
* Be moved to a different billing profile.
* Have their resource allocation changed, whether through Git, the API, or an add-on purchase.
